Merry Christmas!!!!!!

Christmas was yesterday and boy was it busy. Actually, my Christmas festivities started on Christmas Eve. We went to my Grandma's house to eat and open presents. Then, the next morning, we opened presents at my house. I had my mocha frappachino (yum!). That afternoon, I went to my other grandma's house and we ate lasagna and opened presents there. Finally, that evening, we went to my uncle's house for a Christmas dinner of steak, twice-baked potatoes, and green beans. Dessert was Jesus' birthday cake (my little cousin's idea) and Christmas cookies. So, this Christmas has been EXTREMELY busy.

It is sooo on!

Miley's Dude in Nick Jonas Drag
Posted Nov 3rd 2008 12:22PM by TMZ Staff

Miley Cyrus' 20-year-old boyfriend, Justin Gaston, has declared war on Miley's ex, Nick Jonas

Gaston mocked the youngest Jonas Bros. by dressing up as the dandy 16-year-old evangelical Christian boy bander for Halloween.

Unfortunately, if Nick wanted to retaliate and go as the underwear model, no one would know who he was undressed as.

THANKS TO TMZ FOR THE STORY.

Ok. 1st of all this guy is sooo ugly. I do'nt know how he got a job as an underwear model. 2nd, that is so classless, but hey, his is dating Miley Cyrus. 3rd, there is no reason for him to mock Nick, he has done nothing to Justin and probably won't retaliate at all. This guy (and his [fill in the blank with various insults] girlfriend) needs to get his classless, stuck up, ugly butt kicked.

Hey, guys, Timmy (Tim Tebow, duhh.), is a semi-finalist for the Davey O'Brien Award (which is given to college football's best quarterback, he got it last year) and he's currently running 2nd in the fan vote to Colt McCoy (college qb for Texas), sooo I was wondering if ya'll would vote for him (PLEEEAAASSSEEE!?!?!). To Write Love On Her Arms

The phrase above may sound familiar and maybe you have seen it before (I've seen it on Colby's shirt multiple times) well, I finally looked it up and here's what I found...

This began with a story....

TO WRITE LOVE ON HER ARMS.

by jamie tworkowski

Pedro the Lion is loud in the speakers, and the city waits just outside our open windows. She sits and sings, legs crossed in the passenger seat, her pretty voice hiding in the volume. Music is a safe place and Pedro is her favorite. It hits me that she won't see this skyline for several weeks, and we will be without her. I lean forward, knowing this will be written, and I ask what she'd say if her story had an audience. She smiles. "Tell them to look up. Tell them to remember the stars." I would rather write her a song, because songs don't wait to resolve, and because songs mean so much to her. Stories wait for endings, but songs are brave things bold enough to sing when all they know is darkness. These words, like most words, will be written next to midnight, between hurricane and harbor, as both claim to save her. Renee is 19. When I meet her, cocaine is fresh in her system. She hasn't slept in 36 hours and she won't for another 24. It is a familiar blur of coke, pot, pills and alcohol. She has agreed to meet us, to listen and to let us pray. We ask Renee to come with us, to leave this broken night. She says she'll go to rehab tomorrow, but she isn't ready now. It is too great a change. We pray and say goodbye and it is hard to leave without her.She has known such great pain; haunted dreams as a child, the near-constant presence of evil ever since. She has felt the touch of awful naked men, battled depression and addiction, and attempted suicide. Her arms remember razor blades, fifty scars that speak of self-inflicted wounds. Six hours after I meet her, she is feeling trapped, two groups of "friends" offering opposite ideas. Everyone is asleep. The sun is rising. She drinks long from a bottle of liquor, takes a razor blade from the table and locks herself in the bathroom. She cuts herself, using the blade to write "FUCK UP" large across her left forearm. The nurse at the treatment center finds the wound several hours later. The center has no detox, names her too great a risk, and does not accept her. For the next five days, she is ours to love. We become her hospital and the possibility of healing fills our living room with life. It is unspoken and there are only a few of us, but we will be her church, the body of Christ coming alive to meet her needs, to write love on her arms. She is full of contrast, more alive and closer to death than anyone I've known, like a Johnny Cash song or some theatre star. She owns attitude and humor beyond her 19 years, and when she tells me her story, she is humble and quiet and kind, shaped by the pain of a hundred lifetimes. I sit privileged but breaking as she shares. Her life has been so dark yet there is some soft hope in her words, and on consecutive evenings, I watch the prettiest girls in the room tell her that she's beautiful. I think it's God reminding her.I've never walked this road, but I decide that if we're going to run a five-day rehab, it is going to be the coolest in the country. It is going to be rock and roll. We start with the basics; lots of fun, too much Starbucks and way too many cigarettes. Thursday night she is in the balcony for Band Marino, Orlando's finest. They are indie-folk-fabulous, a movement disguised as a circus. She loves them and she smiles when I point out the A&R man from Atlantic Europe, in town from London just to catch this show. She is in good seats when the Magic beat the Sonics the next night, screaming like a lifelong fan with every Dwight Howard dunk. On the way home, we stop for more coffee and books, Blue Like Jazz and (Anne Lamott's) Travelling Mercies. On Saturday, the Taste of Chaos tour is in town and I'm not even sure we can get in, but doors do open and minutes after parking, we are on stage for Thrice, one of her favorite bands. She stands ten feet from the drummer, smiling constantly. It is a bright moment there in the music, as light and rain collide above the stage. It feels like healing. It is certainly hope.Sunday night is church and many gather after the service to pray for Renee, this her last night before entering rehab. Some are strangers but all are friends tonight. The prayers move from broken to bold, all encouraging. We're talking to God but I think as much, we're talking to her, telling her she's loved, saying she does not go alone. One among us knows her best. Ryan sits in the corner strumming an acoustic guitar, singing songs she's inspired. After church our house fills with friends, there for a few more moments before goodbye. Everyone has some gift for her, some note or hug or piece of encouragement. She pulls me aside and tells me she would like to give me something. I smile surprised, wondering what it could be. We walk through the crowded living room, to the garage and her stuff. She hands me her last razor blade, tells me it is the one she used to cut her arm and her last lines of cocaine five nights before. She's had it with her ever since, shares that tonight will be the hardest night and she shouldn't have it. I hold it carefully, thank her and know instantly that this moment, this gift, will stay with me. It hits me to wonder if this great feeling is what Christ knows when we surrender our broken hearts, when we trade death for life. As we arrive at the treatment center, she finishes: "The stars are always there but we miss them in the dirt and clouds. We miss them in the storms. Tell them to remember hope. We have hope."I have watched life come back to her, and it has been a privilege. When our time with her began, someone suggested shifts but that is the language of business. Love is something better. I have been challenged and changed, reminded that love is that simple answer to so many of our hardest questions. Don Miller says we're called to hold our hands against the wounds of a broken world, to stop the bleeding. I agree so greatly. We often ask God to show up. We pray prayers of rescue. Perhaps God would ask us to be that rescue, to be His body, to move for things that matter. He is not invisible when we come alive. I might be simple but more and more, I believe God works in love, speaks in love, is revealed in our love. I have seen that this week and honestly, it has been simple: Take a broken girl, treat her like a famous princess, give her the best seats in the house. Buy her coffee and cigarettes for the coming down, books and bathroom things for the days ahead. Tell her something true when all she's known are lies. Tell her God loves her. Tell her about forgiveness, the possibility of freedom, tell her she was made to dance in white dresses. All these things are true.We are only asked to love, to offer hope to the many hopeless. We don't get to choose all the endings, but we are asked to play the rescuers. We won't solve all mysteries and our hearts will certainly break in such a vulnerable life, but it is the best way. We were made to be lovers bold in broken places, pouring ourselves out again and again until we're called home. I have learned so much in one week with one brave girl. She is alive now, in the patience and safety of rehab, covered in marks of madness but choosing to believe that God makes things new, that He meant hope and healing in the stars. She would ask you to remember.

To Write Love on Her Arms is a work in progress. This began with one broken girl, one painful night; addiction, depression, cutting. This is a glimpse at the five days that followed, a decision to love and to begin telling her true story. To Write Love on Her Arms is becoming something bigger, something hopeful. It's the realization of what life can be when we commit to meeting a need. A friend of mine told me there's no such thing as suicide prevention. This is an attempt to prove him wrong, to say that love can change a life. We can hold back the darkness. Rescue is possible. More soon to come. Join us as we continue to write this story, and as we begin to offer hope to the many hopeless who walk these dark roads. A Jimmy Eat World lyric has been stuck in my head today, "Believe your voice can mean something."

Homecoming

Homecoming was sooo much fun! It took a little while to get going, but doesn't it always? Everyone looked so pretty and the guys looked good, too. The sophomores weren't lying when they said the decorations would be good, the theme was "Cirque Du Retour" and we couldn't recognize the school at all! Almost everyone was dancing and had a good time. We tried to get Colby to dance and even though he thinks he can't dance, I think he did a good job. We were all worn out after it was over and I was pretty happy to see my bed when I got home.

The weekend that was...

The Tampa Bay Rays beat the Boston Red Sox 9-8 after a 5 AND A HALF HOUR GAME. The series is tied 1-1.
Kasey Kahne did an absolutely phenomenal job on Saturday night, finishing 2nd. If it had been the Bank of America 505, Kasey would have won it.
The Gators totally whooped the formally 4th ranked, LSU Tigers, 51-21.
So besides watching all the stuff above, the weekend was pretty boring. Mcknizie, Morgan and I went bowling and we won 3 out of 4 games and my family and I visited my grandpa, who got out of the hospital last week. I watched Disturbia for the first time and it was REALLY good. It's not at all scary, just very startling. Anybody up for possibly seeing Eagle Eye next week, if there is even time?? Next week will be busy, because of course its HOMECOMING!!!! TTFN.

Happy Harvick vs Cousin Carl

Pics of the highly publicized fist fight between Kevin Harvick and Carl Edwards...

Apparently the incident stemmed from last weekend's Big One II, when Edwards caused a monster pileup at the end of the race that took out Harvick. In television interviews afterward, Harvick called Edwards a "pansy." Edwards responded by leaving a note that read, "Kevin, Thanks for (expletive) me on TV - I was really trying to screw up everyone's day. Love, Carl."

Thanks to From The Marbles for the pics and the info ^above^! Who do YOU think won??

(Note: Carl Edwards is the one with the duck on his back and Kevin Harvick has the sunglasses on his hat... If you didn't already know that.)

10/10/08

Pics of the Day:
Awww! Isn't Kyle's car pretty!? It's his M&Ms/Breast Cancer Awareness car.
More of Mister Busch, who is wearing his cool gold-reflecto sunglasses.
Hola guys! I picked the pics above, because it's Dale Jr.'s birthday and I wanted to be very anti-Dale. Today was a very easy, laid-back day at school today. I bought my homecoming ticket (which btw, is $20 now, so if you haven't all ready bought one, bring more money.) We "bought" books today for the Bookseller's Day presentations and I sneaked a peek in my "money bag' and it looked like it had quite a bit of "money" in it. Well, that's it. It's been a really boring week, but next week will be AWESOME, because it's Spirit Week and HOMECOMING!!!!!!! TTYL.

Growing Up With The JoBro's

http://www.usmagazine.com/jonas-brothers-through-the-years

Check ^this^ out. The pictures are too cute.

10/8/08

Pic of the Day:
LOL. This pic is for Mikela, because it's Jimmie, but also because it's a pretty funny picture. Once again I must give props to LOLDrivers for this pic... YAY THEM!

Ok, before we get to school I have TONS of other things to say...
1st. Nascar... THEY R GOING TO CHARLOTTE!!! KASEY IS AWESOMETASTIC THERE! Also, Carpantier is getting kicked out of the #10 and being replaced (for now) by Mike Wallace (uhh, ew.) and AJ Allmendinger (YAYY!). Finally, Brad Keselowski, (the stupid nerd boy who drives for Jr.) is qualifing for his 1st Sprint Cup race (ew!). Today is Baby Mears Watch Day #2!

2nd. Tebow... Ok, this freak of nature, Ricky Jean Francois thinks he can talk crap about Tebow. His interview pretty much made it sound like he wanted to hurt Tebow and get him out of the game. I'm so sick and tired of LSU and their fans. They freaking have NO CLASS WHATSOEVER. First, they call Tebow on his cellphone and give him death threats, now their defense wants to hurt him! Well you know what, SCREW. THEM.

Ok, now to school. I did my Bookseller's Day thing today, and let me tell you, I was uber-nervous, but David said it was good so I felt a little bit better knowing I didn't totally suck. At lunch, we were arguing about what was better, NASCAR or Drag Racing (NASCAR won of course because Bailey kept saying the same thing, but she probably thinks she won.) Yeah, well, that's it. TTYL.

9/7/08

Pic of the Day:
Well, um, I just have one thing to say... This. Pic. Is. HILARIOUS!
Well, this news is for Kinzie, I keep forgetting to tell you about it at school so I 'm just going to post it here. Disney is making a Pirates 4. I have a feeling you already know this, but I'm gonna post it anyway.
Not much happened today. We played this deer/population game in Mrs. Sainz class today. It was kinda lame, but I think we all had fun. Well, um, wow, I think that's it. Also, if anyone has a bad day on friday, I know why. Oh, and HOMECOMING IS NEXT WEEK!!!!! k, ttyl.

This Weekend

Pic of the Day:
I think I know the culprit. *cough* crew chief in the left of the picture *cough* I think he looks guilty.

I haven't written in a while, trust me you haven't missed anything, it's been pretty boring. Well, on Friday, Azia, Mikela, Mckinzie, and I were sitting at a table in the lunchroom like we do every morning and all of a sudden I see Darian stand up and his shirt is covered with milk and he squirts juice at the guy that threw the milk on him. Well, he missed. It ended up hitting us and messing up Mikela's AVID stuff and Azia's Spanish project. It was the start to the worst friday ever. Then, on Saturday, Me, Mckinzie and Morgan, went bowling and we lost all 3 games to the 1st place team. Not only that, but Andrew was EVERYWHERE! And as we were waiting on my brother, Mack walked in and I couldn't help but laugh. He probably noticed, but hey, I don't care. Then, I watched the Gators beat Arkansas 38-7 and Tebow was beaming. It was good to see a smile on his face again. On Sunday, I went shopping and got shoes for my homecoming dress, a new purse, and an Evan Longoria shirt. Then, I watched the race, which was crazy! There were 2 big wrecks! Unfortunatly, Kasey was caught up in one and Tony Stewart officialy won the race, but Reagan Smith thinks he should have won. So, that's it. TTFN!

NOTE: MORGAN!! DON'T FORGET BELLA'S BRACELET!!!

Homecoming

Pic of the Day:

LOL! I love this picture. It looks like he's gonna fall into the tires! The readers of From The Marbles would have a field day with this picture (for Create a Caption).

Hey Guys! Homecoming is coming up soon and I'm in desperate need of a dress. I'm thinking about going this weekend if anyone wants to go. Nothing is final yet, so really anytime this weekend is good. Please let me know if you want to go!
TTYL!

UPDATE- Woah guys, I was looking at dresses and this one wowed me. It's beautiful. Crazy expensive though.....
Beautiful isn't it? 100% silk. Price: $400!

This past weekend...

Pics of the Weekend:
I wonder what made him so mad... He needs to find his happy place and quite frankly, I would be happy to help. =D Mikela could be his psychologist and I could be her uh.... "assistant".
If the world had more substitute teachers like Carl Edwards, then schools would forever be a happy and better looking place.
Ah how I love Jamie. The pic is completely self explanatory. All in agreement say I. All apposed.... go away. =D
this pic is also pretty self explanatory (the guy in the back scares me), but I must say, that Drew Blickensderfer (to the left of Carl and just in front of the creepy guy) guy ain't too bad looking.

So, this weekend was pretty busy. On Friday, Me, Mikela, Morgan, Mckinzie, and Ashley went to go see the House Bunny. It was a pretty funny movie, a little inappropriate at times, but it ended up having a good message. Then, Saturday, me, Morgan, and Mckinzie went bowling. We ended up bowling against Morgan's old team and we won 2 out of 4 games and we were able to keep our spot in 2nd place. We saw Andrew practically everywhere and it was so funny how Mckinzie reacted. Then, I sat through the torture of the Florida vs. Ole Miss football game. We lost by ONE POINT. ONE FREAKING POINT. It was terrible. Tebow apologized, which was sweet, but he didn't need to. He's certainly pumped me up for the rest of the season. Hopefully he'll be able to bring the team's moral back up and they'll be able to make it to the National Championship. Today, I went to my grandparents house for a family dinner and we had roasted chicken and some other yummy stuff. Tommorrow, were back to the usual school stuff. Hopefully, this weekend I'll be able to go Homecoming dress shopping with.... anyone who wants to go. TTFN.

I'm also proud to announce that the ALL 4 1 CURE team (sadly without my help) raised over $300 at today's car wash!!!! YAY THEM!

9/25/08

Pics of the Day:

Don't ask me why, but I find this picture hilarious. I find it amazing that he could make that kind of face and still look good. I also find the "remains sexy while doing so" thing quite funny.

LOL. Jimmie looks like such a diva. (Pics Coutesy of LolDrivers- http://community.livejournal.com/loldrivers/)

Today's Birthdays: John Lynch (former {awesome} football player), Matt Hasselbeck (The awesome qb for the Seattle Seahawks!),Will Smith (everyone knows Will Smith), & T.I. (rapper)

Today was another boring day. We took tests, and I almost happy danced around Massey's room when I found out I got a 91 on his. Mrs. Shimkus gave us an (insert word for large here) amount of work today, because we had a sub. A 32 page story and we had to write 3 dialectical journal entries for each page AND answer all the questions at the end of the story. It was CRAZY. I finished like 7 pages of the story by the end of the period. Lunch was strangely (and plesantly) quiet today. Then, we went to Panda Express for dinner and we had some AWESOME "Beijing Beef" and Orange Chicken. So as you can see, I wasn't kidding when I said today was boring. I hope you didn't fall asleep while reading it. =p

9/23/08 We're going on a quest.... for spit.

Pic of the Day:

YAYY! IT'S THE NICK J SHOW! (I'm not angry... I've never been angry in my life.)

{sorry it's so pixely}

Today's Birthdays: Mickey Rooney (the old guy from Night at the Museum that called Ben Stiller a hot dog.) and JOBA CHAMBERLAIN!!!!!!! (He's 23!!! )
Joba Rules!

Not much happened today. We OFFICIALY signed up for our clubs (AEC!) and Bailey wore this HILARIOUS shirt that said.. We're going on a quest! I have no idea why it was so funny, but it was. It reminded me of Charlie the unicorn (CANDY MOUNTAIN CHARLIE!!!)... And we were talking at lunch and Joseph said something funny and and all of a sudden you see spit flying at him. Morgan had laughed and spit had flown from her mouth onto Joesph. IT WAS HILARIOUS! Joesph freaked out. That's all for today. TTYL!

9/20/08 Farewell to the Cathedral

Pic of the Day:
This is dedicated to the people who made Yankee Stadium (A.K.A. The House That [Babe] Ruth Built) what is is today. Tomorrow, the Yankees will play their last game at this historic ball park.

Today's Birthday's- Juan Pablo Montoya (BOO!!)

Hola! Yesterday, was the pep rally at BHS and I sat with Jessica. We couldn't hear a thing so half the time, we didn't know what the heck we we're supposed to do. Apparently, we tied with the Seniors in a cheering match and then lost after the 2nd round. Also, the bleachers kept shaking and we thought they were going to collapse and we would all die =D. Then we went to a tailgate party for the football game and it was sooo much fun. We got to stand in the hot sun and drink watered down lemonade!!! lol. We left after like 5 minutes to go to McDonalds which was alot more fun. Morgan got a creepy doll with green skin in her happy meal.... Also, there was a spider right next to our booth and Mckinzie jumped out of the booth and ran into a guy. Which, was pretty funny. The game sucked, we lost to Armwood 41-0. It was truly the worst game of football I had ever seen. But, we got to meet Morgan's "friend" Tyler and after the game, Mikela ran into one of the dummy things the football players practice with and she slammed into the ground. It was HILARIOUS! She didn't get hurt, so I didn't feel bad for laughing. Then, today, I went bowling w/ Mckinzie & Morgan and we won 3 out of 4 games. We're currently 2nd place in our league. After that, I slept and watched the Gators beat the Tennesse Vols 30-6 (YAYYY!) and Kyle Busch win the Nationwide Series race at Dover (YAY AGAIN!). That's it for today! TTFN!

9/18/08

Pic of the Day:
I freaking love this picture. It's my favorite of him.

Today's Birthdays: Boris Said (HA! I was not expecting that), Lance Armstrong, Jada Pickett Smith, and James Marsden (X-Men, Hairspray, 27 Dresses)

Today was very interesting. It was club day, and let me tell you these clubs are a heck of alot better than Mann's were. I signed up for the AEC (Animal Education Club) and it sounds soo awesome. 200 PEOPLE SIGNED UP FOR IT! We volunteer at the zoo, animal shelters, and clean up the community. It's sponsored by a teacher who we think looks like a hippie, which isn't necessarily a bad thing, who brought in the 3 week old kitten that she's fostering and it was soooooo cute! I really wish I could foster an animal, but I don't think my parents would like that too much. All day I was working on my dialectical journals and I finally finished them in 7th period and was able to turn them in during 8th period. I got really mad when she only checked the 1st chapter, because I had worked my butt off to finish that thing. On my way home from Moe's, we passed the JV football game and there was like nobody in the stands. I felt so bad for them. I want to gather up like a ton of people to go to their next home game (9/25 at 7:00 and there is no varsity home game that Friday) so we can cheer them on. I mean, I know like 75% of the team and it sucks that the only people to cheer them on are parents, teachers, and cheerleaders. Tomorrow, I'm going to the Varisty football game against Armwood {We are sooooooo screwed} and the pre-game tailgate party. And there's a pep rally tomorrow, so hopefully it will be a good day.
